Apps for Sony BRAVIA TVs: Android TV, Google TV and older models

Follow the steps in order. You can return to the guide centre at any time.

Before you startKeep your device and activation details nearby. Never share your password in a public chat.

Before you start: identify your TV system

Press Home. If you see Google TV, Android TV or Google Play Store, follow the Android instructions below. Otherwise check the model under Settings → About or on the back label. A Sony Smart TV does not necessarily run Android. Menu names vary by model.

Sony without Android or Google TV: what to do

Non-Android/non-Google Sony BRAVIA TVs cannot download new apps as Android TVs do: they use the apps already provided for the TV. Do not look for Downloader or attempt to install APK files by USB. To use our apps, connect a compatible external device to an HDMI port. You do not need to replace your TV.

  1. Choose a compatible external device, such as a Fire TV Stick running Fire OS or an Android TV/Google TV box. Check that the exact model can install the required app before buying: sticks do not all use the same system.
  2. Connect the device to a Sony HDMI port and its power supply, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Press Input / Source on the Sony remote and select that HDMI port. You will now see the external device’s menu, not the Sony app menu.
  4. Connect the device to the Internet and follow its guide below. Log in to the app with your IPTV subscription username and password, not your website credentials.

An external device alone does not require a new subscription. Your plan’s simultaneous-connection limits still apply. Ask us to check the TV or stick model before buying if unsure.

Install the app

  1. Open the Play Store and search for Downloader.
  2. Install and open Downloader.
  3. If requested, enable the permission to install apps for Downloader in the device settings. Menu names may vary.
  4. In Downloader, enter one of the codes below and press GO.
  5. When the download is complete, choose Install and then Open.
Downloader codes
GALAXY FLAVOUR with integrated VPN: 2881200
GALAXY XC IPTV style with integrated VPN: 7746073

Enter the username and password received at activation. In the XC-style app, if server selection is requested, use Server 1 as provided by this app’s configuration.

Where to find the service details
Access your customer area → My services → open the subscription. Here you will find the username, password and DNS/Server address to use. These are not the website login credentials.

The VPN is free and included in the official Galaxy IPTV apps for Windows, macOS and Android. To resolve provider access blocks, enable the VPN from the app settings and try again. The VPN does not replace a working Internet connection and does not solve credential errors or device limitations.

If you still need help

Open a support ticket indicating the device, the app name and the error message. You may attach a screenshot. Do not send passwords or verification codes.

If the app is unavailable or your TV is incompatible

Do not install apps from unknown websites or buy a licence before checking compatibility. For Sony without Android/Google TV, Hisense Roku or another unlisted system, ask support to check the model. A compatible external stick or decoder connected by HDMI runs its own apps independently of the TV system: follow the guide for that external device.

Open a ticket with the TV brand, full model, operating system, app and error message. You may attach a menu photo without passwords or private M3U links.
