Buffering problems

Buffering is an interruption during playback. It may depend on the network, device, app, or a single piece of content.

  1. Run a speed test on fast.com using the same network. As an initial reference, check that at least 20 Mbps are stable; for higher quality, more bandwidth may be needed.
  2. When possible, connect the device to the modem with an Ethernet cable.
  3. Close downloads and applications that use a lot of bandwidth.
  4. For provider blocks, enable the VPN in the official Galaxy IPTV app.
  5. Try another channel and note whether the problem affects all content or only one item.
  6. On an older TV, consult the guide to make the list lighter.

The VPN is free and included in the official Galaxy IPTV apps for Windows, macOS and Android. To resolve provider access blocks, enable the VPN from the app settings and try again. The VPN does not replace a working Internet connection and does not resolve credential errors or device limitations.

If you still need help

Open a support ticket indicating the device, the app name and the error message. You may attach a screenshot. Do not send passwords or verification codes.

Additional useful checks

  1. Check the other devices on the network

Downloads, updates, video calls and other streaming can reduce the available bandwidth. Temporarily stop them and try again. A good speed test on the phone does not rule out a weak Wi-Fi signal near the TV.

  2. If you use iPhone or iPad

You can consult 1.1.1.1 by Cloudflare on the App Store as an alternative for network issues. If you use WARP, follow the app’s instructions to authorize the VPN profile and activate the connection, then reopen the IPTV player. This is an external app, not the built-in VPN in our official apps.

  3. Check device and DNS

An older TV or an outdated app may struggle to load the list. Use an updated compatible app or an external device. The instructions for DNS are in the DNS guide.

  4. Report if it happens on a single piece of content

A problem limited to a single channel may require technical verification of the channel. In the ticket, indicate the title/channel, time, device, app, and whether buffering also occurs on other content.
